Boaz Moda'i (also Boaz Modai, (ヘブライ語:בועז מודעי)) is an Israeli diplomat, serving since 2010 as Israel's ambassador to Ireland.〔"Ex-UN ambassador to become next Egypt envoy"http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/ex-un-ambassador-to-become-next-egypt-envoy-1.3640〕 He announced in August 2015 that his tenure and that of his wife Nurit, as his deputy, would be coming to a close in September. 〔(Where Israel is concerned it's always Groundhog Day ) The Independent, 26 August 2015〕 He is the son of Yitzhak Moda'i and Michal Har'el Moda'i (née Herison). Modai is the son of prominent parents. His father, Yitzhak Moda'i, was an Israeli politician.
